Sometimes something hits you harder than you expect and causes all sorts of emotions, thoughts and feelings. That something happened on April 1st, 2025, when we lost Val Kilmer. I’ve always liked Val in all his films and can appreciate his willingness to dive into his role. One of the movies of his that greatly affected me was his portrayal of Jom Morrison in The Doors. It is what really got me more into their music and inspired me to learn all I could about him and although I feel the movie trashed Jim, I thoroughly enjoyed Val’s acting. He is gone now and hopefully to a better plane of existence.
