It is done!  After spending the past year in Iraq, I have left the country for good.  I am currently in Kuwait awaiting my next journey back to the states.  It wasn't easy getting out of Iraq.  Had weather issues, aircraft issues and then a loss of power in the Air Traffic Controller Tower and then quiet hours.  Finally got wheels up around 6:30 pm and landed in Kuwait around 8:15 pm.  Did all the signing in, moving my luggage and gear and had my first taste of Subway in a year.  I'll tell ya.  That was the best damn sandwich I've had in a long time.  After all the crappy food I've had to deal with over the past year, it was a little bit of heaven.  It is now almost 11:30 pm and if my trend follows suit here, I won't be sleeping much.  Oh well.  At least I'm almost home.
