It's been a month and a half since I wrote.  Have had a lot of things going on since then that has pre-occupied my time.  The first and foremost was my Grandmother, Mildred E. Bickford, passed away on July 22, 2011.  It was a very sad moment for me as I hadn't seen her since a few days before I left to come out here in November of 2010.  I flew back to the states for her memorial and it didn't hit me that she was gone until I got back.  The memorial service was just like she wanted.  Short and sweet.  She was the kindest, most loving person I have ever known.  She was a gentle and loving spirit that made the world a better place.  It's been hard saying goodbye but I know she is no longer in pain and I truly hope to see her again.  Goodbye Grandma.  I love you and miss you very much.
It was also great to see my son who means the world to me.  We were able to spend a lot of good time together and make some memories to last while I'm gone.  It's been tough being away from him but I know I'm doing this for his future.  I love you Zman.  I got to spend some time with other family and friends too and really didn't want to leave.
The trip back was interesting to say the least and very long.  At least I got to spend 9 hours in England and took a bus tour of London and the surrounding cities.  Saw a lot of cool stuff and now need to visit for at least a week or so.  Saw so much I want to see and do.
