Feb 2nd - A day for remembering

February 3, 2025
Today is not a normal day.  Today is a day of remembering the 2 year anniversary of my mother's passing.  It's been rough at times and I know it's been very hard on my father.  While I remember her and miss her I do know she is out of pain and has been keeping tabs on us all.

Love means never saying goodbye.
Love means it will all be alright.
Love means always seeing the good.
Love means never forgetting.

Love and miss you mom.

Greetings foolish mortals and welcome to February.  I wish I could say this is a good time to be doing things but unfortunately it's not.  We have a Moron in charge of our country now and he's doing everything he can to dismantle the innards and working part that has kept us churning for decades.  All he does is blame others and tries to talk himself up to be a great president when a true leader doesn't need to do that.

Dec 31st - Goodbye 2024!!!

Greetings foolish mortals!!!  We are gathered here today to bid adieu to 2024.

It's been a wild and crazy year and much has happened during the 365 days of this year. 

Biggest change was the BBP left his previous, long sought after position with Lockheed and moved over to the U.S. Navy where he's busy getting into the groove of things.

Dec 1st - Welcome the holidays

December 2, 2024
Greetings foolish mortals.  Well, here we are in December now and the holidays are in full swing.  Thanksgiving came and went as did Black Friday and I was a little disappointed by the "deals" that were out there.  Not really too many things that piqued my interest.

Another month passed with only one update but I will try to do more this month and make it a better one.

September 30th - A challenging day

This might end up being a long post but it will have nothing to do with politics or Halloween. 

Today is and will always be one of the hardest days in my life. Today, 34 years ago, I lost a best friend, a roommate, a brother and his family lost a son and his future ended in a helicopter crash off the coast of Oregon. Sep 18th - 3 years

September 18, 2024
Greetings foolish mortals.  Today is my third anniversary of having purchased my first Toyota Tacoma.  Not sure if it'll be my last but I'm hoping to get some good use out of her.  Got 60,000 miles on her and swapped out the tires at about 50,000 miles.  Put my new favorite tires on her, Yokohamas which I loved after putting them on my previous truck, The Desert Runner.

One week left until I am done with my current job.  While it's a bit bittersweet, I'm excited and nervous for the new challen...

September 8th - A special day

September 9, 2024
Greetings foolish mortals.  Today is a very special day for the BBP.

First, 38 years ago, a young, skinny 18 year old, naive kid, left home and joined the United States Navy.  He was nervous and unsure of his decision but stuck through it and is now, forever a part of history.  He saw and did many things, things most people could never do or even survive and yet he's always risen to the challenges placed before him.
