June 5th - A disgrace

This is not my normal post as you can tell by my opening. The only foolish ones are the people who support the inept "leadership" of the country. Those who support racism and those who see nothing wrong with the way we, the United States, are dealing with equality issues.
I am disgusted by the way things have turned out. Not only by the lack of accountability by the government but by also some, notice I didn't lump them all into this statement, law enforcement agencies. I am in no way against law enforcement but when there continues to be a double standard for people, then there is a problem. It's been going on for many years and continues to this day. How does, fitting the profile make you feel? What if the roles were reversed and it was a white guy being detained? How would that make them feel? I can honestly say that I have not had to deal with that. I have not had to deal with being followed in a store due to the color of my skin. I have not had the fear of being gunned down for a police stop. So tell me, why should anyone "have to" deal with this and still feel ok about it?
The Declaration of Independence states, "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness." This has never been true for other people in the United States who are not white, Europeans. This is hypocrisy at its finest and people turn a blind eye because it doesn't pertain to them.
I'm sure if you're reading this, you either agree with me or you don't. If you don't, it's obvious you have never had to deal with these issues because you're white. That's fine but don't go around preaching racism does not exist or you're not racist because you have a black friend or know a black person. That's the most pathetic and ignorant statement anyone can make. It lacks any support because racism is alive and well in this country and unfortunately, the coward in charge has empowered all the racists to come out of hiding. He even incites violence and encourages people to shoot others if they protest or riot but conveniently forgets how he backed and supported armed militias to storm the capital in Michigan claiming they were "good people" and tired of being locked down. This is total bullshit. This moron does not deserve to be in the position he's in yet people keep defending him. He's a liar, a traitor, a coward and a piece of worthless shit. It has nothing to do with the Republican party but some members of that party are just as bad as him if not worse because they support him and are only looking to be re-elected to keep sucking off the taxpayers teat and making more money than they had before, because that what the Donald has done. He's sold out the country so he can make more money. I've never liked him when he was a TV reality star and I hate him as president. Nov 3rd cannot come soon enough.
I have biracial sons and I am willing to fight to the death to protect them, stand up for them and hopefully see them grow up into successful men. So yeah, I've seen the looks from other people who don't like interracial couples but I don't give a shit what they think. It's my life and I will live it my way.
I am also a United States Navy disabled veteran and I served my country with honor and pride. I fought in Desert Storm and helped defend those who could not defend themselves. That's what I'm about. I will always stand up to injustice and help those who need it and defend those who can't.
