October 9th - Welcome to October...Been too long

Greetings foolish mortals.  What can I say?  Been away for a bit.  Part of it was super busy with work and other things and the other part is I've been on vacation and not really dealing with anything computer related, if I can help it.

Lots of things have been going on since my last post.  On October 1st, it was WDW's 47th birthday.  On October 5th, it was my grandmother's 103rd birthday.  Stopped by to pay my respects to both her and my grandfather.  Sure do miss her.

I've also been back in my home state of Florida on vacation.  It's been quite hot and humid and very unpleasant but it's also been nice to see rain clouds in the sky and also get hit by rain.  Also was able to visit my favorite place, WDW, a few times so far and went to Epcot Food & Wine Festival.  Love that place and this time of year.  Got a few more days here on vacation and then back to the west coast of California.  After that, more Knott's Scary Farm trips and other things...not to mention walking back into work where I'm sure it's a mess.  

Anyways, just a quick update to fill in my time and catch up.  Until the next time...

Sep 2nd - A momentous day

Welcome foolish mortals.  Today, September 2nd, is a big day in the life of the BBP.  Can’t believe it’s been 8 years today that my life changed dramatically...for the better. I was stuck in a mediocre job at a failing financial institution but this fateful day, as bad as it was back then, was a positive change and a life changer. Sep 1st - A new month

Welcome foolish mortals, to another month and welcome to September.  The greatest birthday month is now over and we are moving on to the best time of the year.  Excited for what's to come.  Lots of things are beginning so it's going to be a busy rest of the year.

Aug 11th - The last of the 40's

Greetings foolish mortals and welcome to the BBP's last remaining roughly hour and a half of being in the 40s.  

I can say it has been a very interesting decade and I've seen a lot, done a lot and gone to a lot of places.  I didn't start this website until 2011 so I only have the 7 past years documented on this site.  However, my mind has the remaining years that completed the 40s.

JUly 1st - Half over

Greetings foolish mortals.  Welcome to July.  Can't believe the year is now officially half over.  Amazing that it's flying by so fast.  Looking forward to some Halloween stuff soon.  Haunts are gonna start being built and the commercials will air soon.  Can't wait.  For now though, gotta deal with the heat.  Hope it doesn't get too bad though it's supposed to break 100 this weekend.  UGH!!!

June 27th - Too long

Greetings foolish mortals.  I can't believe believe I haven't added anything to hear in almost 4 weeks.  This has been a crazy month.  

A big thing that did happen was we went to meet William Shatner Sunday evening.  We first watched Star Trek II The Wrath of Khan.  Was very cool to see it in the big screen as I never had.  Then after the movie, William came out to a huge ovation and it was very cool to hear him talk about the movie, life, interactions with other members of the cast and so on....

May 28th - Memorial Day

Greetings foolish mortals.  Today is a day of remembrance, honor and respect.  Take a moment to think of those who paid the ultimate price to allow you a 3 day weekend.  Think of those families who have lost someone and appreciate the cost of freedom.  You don't have to stay indoors and be miserable for today is a celebration for those men and women who wrote a check to protect and serve this country and that check was cashed.
