June 19th - Happy Fathers Dat

June 20, 2016
Happy Fathers Day to all the fathers out there, especially my father.  BB senior.

So in brief news today, It hit 104 degrees.  I'm sorry but that is just too damn hot.  For those of you who like the heat, you can have it.  My belief is you can always get warm if it's cold but you can't get cool when it's hot.  Not talking about a pool either.  I'm talking about walking around everyday type heat and you can't just start shedding clothes to cool down.  You can try those misters or maybe those towels that are supposed to keep you cool but not everyone has those so in general, keep the heat away!!!  However, tomorrow is going to be worse.  UGH!!!

Also in the news with the heat, had to go into work because our A/C unit froze and got a high temp alert in our server room.  That was a lot of fun to try to fix.  Ended up using 5 fans to get the place to cool down.

So other than all that, not a whole lot more to report on or vent so until the next time and hopefully the mercury will be down about 25 degrees...

June 13th - Monday

June 13, 2016
Greetings foolish mortals and those not so foolish.  Welcome to Monday morning where the sky is overcast, though no hopes of rain, and we're pretty tired this morning due to something waking us up at 1:30 am and then unable to sleep until many hours later where the alarm then went off in the midst of beautiful sleep.  Wow, that was a long sentence though with proper punctuation made it appropriate.

Keep telling myself each weekend that I'm going to head out to the theme parks but then I get di...

June 6th - Watch out

June 6, 2016
Greetings foolish mortals!  Hopefully this finds everyone I care about, back home, safe from the tropical storm that's hitting the area.  I see where they're hoping it fills up reservoirs that have gotten low but how about sending something like that our way?  We could definitely use something in the size of a tropical storm to help us out of this damn drought we've been suffering through pretty much from the time I left California the first time.  Stupid dryness.

Starting a new week and it's ...

June 2nd - Hello June

June 2, 2016
Greetings foolish mortals.  Here we are, now in June and this year is just flying by.  Been super busy for the past few weeks as my job has put more on me and asked me to do many more things but it's all good cuz I'm handling it like a boss.  Crazy how this year is almost half up.

Looking forward to the weekend though, that's for sure.  May have to go hit Magic Mountain or something.

Look for some additional photos in the areas that are missing them to arrive soon.

Until the happy haunts retur...

May 30th - In Remembrance

May 30, 2016
Today is a special day.  While many people see it only as a 3 day weekend or a time for sales, there is a much deeper and profound reason for this day.  While only a small percentage of the population of this great country have even signed up to protect and serve this country, even if that meant giving the ultimate sacrifice, there are inspiring people who have done so and in the face of the harshest realities, laid down their lives for, most of the time, total strangers who they never knew. ...

May 22nd - Another week

May 23, 2016
Greetings foolish mortals.  Another weekend is pretty much over here and it's been a relaxing, recouping weekend for for the BBP.  After a very long and arduous week, it was nice to just go low key and enjoy some down time.  Had a crazy busy week with work and studying.  Took a lot out of me and also needed the break.  Weather has been beautiful here.  Of course it is, it's SoCal so we got that going for us...which is nice.  Another week starts but it should be a little bit easier.  Still hav...

May 15th - Farewell weekend

May 16, 2016
Well, here we are again on a Sunday night and the weekend has flown by and it's Monday eve.  I'm ready for Friday to get here so I can be done with this testing I've been studying for and start getting out and doing more again.  My free time has been spent refreshing something I already had but need to update and more importantly, I need for my job.  It's not easy being The Man but someone has to do it and I accept it and strive to be the best.  And yes, if that includes being a little arroga...

May 10th - A New Look

May 11, 2016
Well how does it look?  I accidentally changed the format of the website and I actually like this look.  It's easier to navigate through the site and looks to be more user friendly.  This whole new look has a lot of symbology with what's going on with life too, for the better.  Life is good.

Until next time...

May 9th - Back to the grind

May 10, 2016
Hello foolish mortals.  Here we are, back on the west coast, the best coast, after an interesting trip back east to Florida.  While I didn't get everything done that I had hoped or planned, I did get a few things accomplished and am happy about that.  I really enjoyed the trip back and seeing all my family and the friends I did manage to see.  However, I have learned I am not a fan of flying.  Such a pain in the ass.  We seriously need a rail system like they have in Europe.  I'd do that all ...

May 1 - Hello May...goodbye April

May 1, 2016
Hello there.  What a perfect start to the month.  April was finished up with an awesome trip to San Diego.  Toured the U.S.S. Midway and relived a few memories.  Was actually "stuck" on her for a couple days during the Persian Gulf War in 1991.  Saw quite a bit of stuff, many wonderful aircraft with my favorite jet the F-14 Tomcat and of course my all time favorite, the SH-60 Seahawk.  The Seahawk and I go way back and have a lot of fond memories and still have some nightmares with it but the...
