November 1st - Welcome to November
November 2, 2023
Greetings foolish mortals and welcome to November. Well, Halloween is over and it's now Xmas season. I haven't updated this again all month as it's been pretty busy but had a lot going on.
Let's start out with the amazing time had at Universal Studios Orlando Halloween Horror Nights. It was an amazing time with the haunts and scare zones and the overall theming and atmosphere. Even though it's not, in my own opinion, as good as Knott's Scary Farm but it's still one of the premier haunt events. They had 10 houses this year and 5 scare zones. The theming on the houses was beyond awesome and were very well done. Here's my listing from best to worse:
1. Yeti
2. Bloodmoon
3. Exorcist
4. Monsters
5. Last of Us
6. Dueling Dragons
7. Darkest Deal
8. Dr Oddfellows
9. Chucky
**Did not make it through Stranger Things so I can't rate it.
One of the things I don't like about the way Universal does things is their scare actors don't seem to have the freedom to improvise in the scare zones or houses and have a button they press to make a noise and screams whereas the scare actors at Knott's have all the freedoms to do what they want.
So now here we are in the beginnings of the Xmas season and I can't wait to enjoy this time. I love the time of year from the beginnings of September to the end of the year. Gonna be a good time.
Today though, the BBP had to have surgery to finally finish the removal of skin cancer from his cheek. We are sore a bit and swollen and been tired all day but it's finay finished. Rest and recovery is the order for the next week or so.
Hope everyone had a great Halloween and are looking forward to the holiday season.
Until the next time...
BBP out!!!
