Here we are on the first of July and the time is flying by.  It has been getting very hot out here and I am guzzling water.  It's so hot and unpleasant but it's coming to an end.  A/C and cold beer and other drinks are coming.

Mid June

Here we are and it's now the middle of June.  Time is flying by and soon this will be over. 
Now, onto the site.  I'm working on making this an actual site of various interests and links and things to see and hear.  I'm trying to expand the site and get into some more interests and archives.  There's so much to do if I want to do that.

June 4th - June is here

Here we are in June now.  It's so frickin hot here too.  Been in the 100's for a while now but now we have the added element of hot wind blowing too.  The heat sucks but it won't be lasting forever.

May 17th - Happy Birthday Zman

May 17, 2012
13 years ago today at 10:54 am, the Zman was born.  I can't believe how fast the time has gone by and where all the years have gone as well.  It just seems like yesterday when I was dropping him off at daycare.  He is now a teenager.  While I have been away these past 2 birthdays of his, I have been able to do things for him I wouldn't have been able to before.  I miss him very much and love him very much more.  He is my big guy, the Z and a few other nick names but overall, he is my son and ...

May 8th - The storm

May 8, 2012

On May 8th 1979, I remember waking up and the roads were flooded and it was pouring and yet, my mother still forced us to go to school.  Little did we realize, that day would be a very long one.  We were basically stuck at school for many extra hours because the city was shut down due to extensive flooding and when my brother and my names were called, after we had been sitting in the cafeteria for hours, our father walked in to take us home.  We ended up walking, or pretty much swimming, the ...

April 26th - Goodbye house

April 26, 2012
    Most people remember the day they bought their first house.  Mine was June 27th 2008.  Well, today is the day I got rid of it.  Bittersweet because it took me so long to actually buy it and now it's gone.  At least it is no longer hanging over my head.  Goodbye 3319 Mexicali.

April 23rd - Another day

April 23, 2012
Here we are.  The end of April and it's been flying.  Hoping for the rest of the time to fly as well. 
Been getting warmer too.  Not quite close to the 130's I experiened when I first go there but it probably isn't far off.  I can't believe how hot it was when I first got here.  It was unbelievable.
Today is also day one - The New Start.  I'm focusing on eating healthy and working out and taking care of myself.  I've been off and on since I got to Iraq but I am focusing now and all in.  Game o...
