Sep 2nd - Welcome to September

Good morning foolish mortals!!!  Welcome to September.  The year is flying by and tomorrow is the beginning to the season.  HHN starts tomorrow night!!!  YAY!!!  Looking forward to going a few times.

Aug 12th - Happy Birthday!!!

Greetings foolish mortals.  Today is the BBP's birthday.  A wonderful, amazing day that cannot be contained in one day.  Today was full starting off with an early round of golf followed by an excellent lunch.  Then a nice, midday nap followed by an evening spent at the Orlando Convention Center with Megacon taking place.  Saw a lot of interesting costumes and people and also got to speak to Captain James T. Kirk again, after speaking to him years ago in Thousand Oaks, CA.

Aug 1st - Hello birthday month

Greetings foolish mortals!!!  Welcome to the best birthday month out there.  It's August and it's hot and humid here in Orlando but it's nice to be back.

Bought passes to both Sea World and Busch Gardens Howl-o-scream so going to hit them both as much as possible.  Very excited for that.  Also looking forward to hitting Epcot Food and Wine Festival that started July 15th and running through November.  

Lots going on this month so we're looking forward to all that's going on and coming up.

July 1st - Welcome to July

Good morning foolish mortals.  Here we are in July and in a new state since my last update.  It's been a couple of weeks as I've been busy transitioning to my new job and new life.  On June 17th, 2021, after having my house packed up and shipped, I loaded up my truck, The Desert Runner, and headed east to Florida.  Took 3 days to drive the 2600 plus miles.  Was going to stop and hit Six Flags in San Antonio but opted not to as I got there and saw the crowds were massive.

June 17th - Last day in Cali

Greetings foolish mortals.  Well, after wanting to get back to California after leaving it after the Navy and finally getting back almost 6  years ago, I am once again leaving.  It's been aw very bittersweet time for me over the past month as I've struggled with my decision but ultimately, I feel it is the best choice.  The new job is exciting and I can't wait to get started.  Lots of driving ahead for me but it will also be therapeutic.  And of course, I never close any doors...

June 1st - Big changes

Greetings foolish mortals.  Welcome to June and get ready, big changes are coming very soon.  A lot has happened over the past few weeks.  While I don't publicize the personal life so much, I do mention things that have a direct impact on me.  A few weeks ago, my dad had a stroke that sent him to the hospital and got me on a plane, flying across the country with little notice.  Dad has now been transferred to a rehab facility where he will work on the transition to a new life.

Greetings foolish mortals and may the 4th be with you...always.

Wow!!!  An update only a few days after my other one.  What's going on?  Maybe I'm on track to try to keep this going at an even pace and keep things updated.

Really not a whole lot going on right now.  Disneyland is open, Universal is open, Six Flags is open and Knotts is opening this week.  YAY!!!  Just hoping we're gonna see our beloved haunts come to town for the season.  Fingers crossed.

May 1st - It's gonna be May!!!

Greetings foolish mortals.  Welcome to May.  Another month down in the books for 2021.  We are fast approaching the best time of the year.  Halloween!!!

Things and places are opening here in beautiful SoCal.  Disneyland opened yesterday after over a year of being closed.  

The BBP is doing well.  Recovered from our 2nd vaccination and back on our workout regiment.  Took a 10 mile ride this morning on our new bike.  Looking at next month, taking it up to Big Bear for some serious mountain biking...
